The rooftop onsen offering 360 degree views of Nara and traditional Japanese bedrooms are definite highlights, and while most find the experience wonderful, a few guests have noted extra charges, such as for coffee at breakfast.

Really good Service and Traditional Charm!

The staff was kind and efficient when I required assistance. Ara-san provided the best service I have ever experienced! The hotel also provides a complimentary guide to the local park. The hotel gave me robes to wear, custom lighting, and superb daily cleaning..

Charging extra for a children's toothbrush seemed unnecessary. Parking also cost more than nearby public lots. The breakfast did not include complimentary coffee.

The Japanese breakfast presented a wide variety of dishes I found very satisfying. Meals had nice volume, and every detail was designed with care.. I enjoyed the experience of dining here.

The room featured Japanese style with a comfortable bed prepared after dinner. A private outdoor bath provided mountain views. The bathroom was modern, very clean, and included excellent amenities.
