ample tea quiet street

i stayed in room 4 and it had lots of tea and coffee available (i really needed this!). the wifi worked great too. plenty of parking was available on a quiet street, i always appreciate that.

my room was up two flights of stairs, this was a little inconvenient.

unpleasant odor no hairdryer

The room was on the second floor. Two flights of stairs were required. The room had an unpleasant odor. There was no iron or ironing board available. there was no hairdryer in the room. That was a significant inconvenience.

friendly staff local information black sludge shower issue

the staff was friendly and gave me information about the local area.

the shower needed a serious scrub, with black sludge visible in the corners (i had to ask for it to be cleaned) and it was a bit awkward to get in and out.
