i found the room to be surprisingly spacious and well-kept. the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. i appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, who were always ready to assist with any queries (i had quite a few!).
the gym equipment seemed a bit dated.

The location is convenient, near the mall and a lovely park. My room was spacious and very clean. I found the complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate quite nice.
The hotel's position at the top of a small hill might be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage when walking from the station.

The location proved very useful. I could easily access queen street mall and the train. the bar downstairs was indeed convenient, specifically for meals. the secured parking was a relief, costing only $15 (a reasonable price).

the room offered great space with large windows. a balcony was included. i found bats in the tree across the street, quite a fun sight.
the bed arrangements made accessing the fridge and kettle slightly inconvenient.

The hotel is within walking distance to roma street parklands. this made it very accessible for the wedding i attended. uptown shopping centre is also close enough for a walk. The location is superb.

faulty air conditioner
the air conditioner seemed more like a suggestion than a functional appliance, because it didn't cool the room at all, even after a valiant all-night effort. also, the kitchenette was there purely for decoration since it lacked cooking tools and any cleaning supplies. i mean, what's the point?
