About the Hotel

There are 16 dog-friendly rooms available for an extra charge of £25 per dog per night, which includes a bed, bowl, towel, and treats.
Seasonal dining experiences
The hotel offers a breakfast-only service of cereals, granola, and fresh fruit salad, followed by hot dishes that include scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, a muffin stack with egg, mushrooms, and bacon, and a full English breakfast, all cooked to order. The Bishop's Dining Room is dedicated to seasonal cuisine. The hotel promotes the conservation of natural landscape by maintaining organic status and passing on the benefits of this through rewilding ambitions, including the introduction of hens to lay eggs for breakfast. Ingredients grown in own kitchen garden are used. Guests can dine in The Crypt Bar, reception, and garden, or in the downstairs larders (The Hilyard and The Derwent). Sweet treats are offered upon departure.
Leisure and activities
Guests can take part in outdoor activities such as paddle boarding and canoeing with Alexander Adventures. Cycle 4 Adventure provides guided mountain bike rides or walks. The hotel can arrange stargazing events, and provides astronomy binoculars and a guide to stargazing in the rooms; some rooms have telescopes. Pow Hill, a Dark Sky Discovery Site, is nearby. Fishing, sailing, windsurfing, and paddle boarding are available at Derwent Reservoir. Lord Crewe Arms is part of The Calcot Collection, which includes Calcot & Spa, Barnsley House, The Village Pub, and The Painswick.
