underwhelming stay, some issues noticed
outdated sockets less helpful staff
Our room was not great. i noticed the bathroom needed updating. The furniture seemed old. the carpets in the hallway looked quite dated, they were this terracotta color from the 90s. it seemed like a letdown considering the price i paid per night, we also faced issues with the staff during the second day. They looked less helpful, it seemed like everything i asked was too much trouble for them

solid hotel near the town center
ample parking spacious room modern room
i found ample parking spaces on the premises. the room was spacious and modern. breakfast included many options. the staff demonstrated warmth and efficiency throughout my stay, a detail i found noticeable.
The outdated decor and old furniture in the room need some attention. a rumbling noise woke me around 6:30 am. It sounded like an extractor fan from the kitchen. i could not discuss this issue at checkout as no one was present at the time.

The breakfast options were great and catered to varied tastes. I appreciated the flexibility for slight menu changes. i noticed a dedicated staff member who seemed to focus on quickly replenishing items ensuring no delay.

clean, comfortable stay
superb room excellent breakfast warm welcome friendly staff
the room was superb. breakfast was excellent too. we dined in the restaurant on both nights of our stay, and the food and service were excellent. we got a warm welcome at reception on arrival and it continued with all the staff throughout our stay.

adequate stay, some issues noted
perfect location buxton crescent spa television problem no signal
the location proved perfect, a short walk to the main shops and the buxton crescent spa.
The television in the room presented problems. Accessing the guide produced a 'no signal' message, and bbc one was unavailable. attempting to contact reception by phone yielded no response. i found this unacceptable.
