“Housed in a former zoological institute near the station, the hotel's themed rooms-zoology, botany, geology-offer a playful, learned escape. I particularly appreciate the rooftop bar; its panoramic views give a sense of the city beyond the hotel's immediate bustle, while on-site dining allows guests to peek behind the scenes through a kitchen workshop.”

The building architecture impressed me. The room design seemed thoughtful (and created a unique atmosphere).
The room lacked privacy due to the glass shower. The lighting in the room was also poor.

quirky and charming stay

interesting touches attentive staff
the hotel decor has interesting touches. it was transformed from a zoology department (i found that super interesting). i enjoyed the responsiveness of the hotel staff. they were attentive .
the hotel is in a rough area. there was heavy traffic outside of the room (it was noisy). the shower is totally glass, so there is no privacy. i also found the lighting in the room very poor.

Acceptable stay near the station

period style spacious room transport option broken soap low water pressure empty buffet
The building's refurbishment maintained the period style. Our room was spacious and it had a freestanding bath. The location was acceptable because it was close to transport options.
The soap dish had fell off the wall in the shower. The water pressure was not filling the huge bathtub. There was virtually no food left at the breakfast buffet this morning.
