La Posada, next to Manuel Antonio National Park, has rooms to suit different needs. Standard rooms are available, and the recently renovated rooms cover 450 square feet. The new suites are 500 square feet on the second floor, sleep up to four people, and include two queen beds and Costa Rican wood furnishings. The Titi Monkey Room sleeps up to five people. The Sloth Villa Room can accommodate up to six people. Rooms have a flat-screen TV with cable, minibar, coffee maker, safety deposit box, and Wi-Fi. Other amenities include air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, a terrace, a dining table, and free toiletries. Certain rooms provide kitchenware, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a tea/coffee maker. Some rooms are accessible for people with disabilities. The air-conditioned house provides two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living-dining area with two sofa beds, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen cable TV, and a DVD player. The kitchen includes a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and washer-dryer. A furnished porch has views of Manuel Antonio National Park.
Dining at La Posada
La Posada starts each day with a breakfast buffet, including local fruits and pastries. Made-to-order eggs are available, along with pancakes, potatoes, or gallo pinto (Costa Rica rice and beans dish), and sausage on rotating days. The pizzeria offers pizza, local casados, and sandwiches daily. Dinners are available each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (minimum of four people) for $12.00 usd per person for all hotel guests while being entertained with a movie.
Leisure and Activities
La Posada features a swimming pool overlooking cultivated gardens and the adjoining jungle. An extensive DVD collection is available. Nearby activities include the Manuel Antonio National Park, north and south Espadilla beaches, and multiple adventure, nature, and relaxation activities. Tours are available, including the Manuel Antonio Park Guided Tour, Damas Island Mangrove Tour by Kayak or Boat, Naranjo River rafting (Class III-IV), Savegre River rafting (Class II-III), Jet Sky Tour, ATV Tour, Paddle Boarding in the Ocean, and Paddle Boarding in Damas Mangrove.
Location and Access
La Posada Jungle is at the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. It is a four-minute walk to the beach and within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream shops, and bars. La Posada Jungle is 15 km from Aeropuerto La Managua. Transportation options from San Jose include a public bus ($10.00 usd per person), a shuttle service ($55.00 usd per person), or a private van with A/C and a bilingual driver ($170.00 usd for 1 to 5 people).
