Some rooms on floors 10-12 feature views of Union Square or Nob Hill, cream tufted headboards, mahogany furniture, and premium linens. Amenities include free high-speed wireless internet, a 40-inch flat-screen TV, a ceiling fan, black-out drapes, a light-up makeup mirror, and a writing desk. Other rooms, located on floors 5-9, feature fine linen, black out drapes, mahogany furnishings, a light-up mirror, free WiFi, a flat-screen cable TV, free toiletries, a spacious desk, and coffee-making facilities. Guests may also select a top-floor suite that features an elegant master bedroom with a king four poster bed, and a formal dining room that seats up to eight. All rooms include ironing facilities, heating, tea and coffee facilities, free toiletries, a dryer, and an AM/FM alarm clock. Bathrooms provide free toiletries, bathrobes, a hairdryer, and slippers.

The location worked GREAT for seeing the city. Union Square is just steps away. It made accessing public transport REALLY easy. The staff were helpful with directions. I also liked the sherry that was offered later in the day.

Only one was working for part of my stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They quickly delivered a kettle to my room when I requested it. I also appreciated the complimentary flavored water and soda available at the reception. The hotel's location is fantastic, situated maybe 100 meters from the cable car station..

The hotel lacked tea-making facilities in the room. These were never provided despite my request.
