Highlights

Location: city's heart and soul

Rooms: nine distinct room categories

Dining: Brasserie NITZ

Packages: Lazy Sunday Package

“This four-star hotel stands out for its dual focus: it aims to be both a stylish urban base and a hub connecting guests to Nuremberg's local scene. The apartments, some with kitchenettes, are particularly well-suited to families or longer stays. I think the dedicated wellness area with its spa and indoor pool distinguishes this hotel from many others in the city center. Its prime location near major attractions and strong commitment to community engagement definitely make it a compelling choice.”

Guests consistently praise Karl August's central location, making it easy to explore Nuremberg's Christmas markets, Kaiserburg, and other attractions. The spacious and well-designed rooms, some with kitchenettes, are another highlight, alongside the modern, industrial-style decor that many find appealing. Some guests have mentioned the limited availability of tea and coffee making facilities directly in the rooms; however, the on-site spa area with a pool and sauna, along with the delightful breakfast options, are commonly enjoyed by visitors.

I appreciated the central location. It was perfect for getting around. The room design felt very modern. I noticed high quality in all aspects. I arrived a little early and thankfully a room was ready.
I noticed we miss some of the amenities and there was not minibar. It will make the room perfect for sure. I felt the need to mention that.

The location was acceptable. It was within walking distance of many cafes.
I was quite dissatisfied with several aspects. The windows lacked proper soundproofing. shower doors did not fully close, allowing water to leak. the absence of temperature control in the bathroom was also a concern. breakfast was expensive. I found better options nearby.
