“This adults-only guesthouse, a stone's throw from Douglas Beach, makes a restful base for exploring the Isle of Man's scenic coast. I was struck by the stylish decor, which blends original features with modern updates, while the daily breakfasts sound a high point. The recognition as a 4-star Gold Award winner in Douglas certainly sets it apart.”

A Good Stay
fantastic food range responsive staff missing lounge reception absence
The breakfast was cooked to order and offered a fantastic range of food. The breakfast room was also fantastic, with very responsive staff. The staff were friendly and helpful (always a plus).
I found there was no lounge. The front of the ground floor is mostly a bar with tables. There was no reception desk, either.

A Somewhat Okayish Stay
old decor parking situation
The breakfast included fresh omelettes, I guess that's something.
The room wasn't great. The decor seemed a little old, I also spotted mould in the shower, which wasn't exactly thrilling. To make matters worse, the parking situation wasn't clear at all, it wasn't explained when I got there.
