Really good Anniversary Retreat

I stayed in the Retreat for my 35th wedding anniversary. The room was very modern, I found the bed huge and exceedingly comfortable. The bathroom had a large spa bath with a TV above and speakers in the roof. The massive walk in shower was a huge hit, too. Breakfast delivered to our room proved a lovely addition and I found the food fantastic.
The off site health club lacked accessibility, especially without a car.

breakfast offered an excellent choice and was well presented. the staff were lovely (always had a smile!). parking was available on site, which i found very convenient.

i found the suite spacious. the sleigh bed was particularly comfortable. the bathroom included a double jacuzzi bath and a walk-in shower, and it proved ideal after long walks. i enjoyed the breakfast, it was really filling.

the health club access was more difficult than expected. i don't drive, and the distance wasn't well explained beforehand. the spa bath in my room felt quite small, honestly. it was impractical to use, not really big enough to relax in. this detail was disappointing because i booked with that amenity in mind.
