Honey Creek Resort has 105 lodge rooms, with views of the lake or resort. Options include rooms with two queen-size beds or one king-size bed. Honey Creek Resort has Buccaneer Bay Indoor Water Park, an aquatics fitness course, and a floating island. The Aquapark has 16 inflatable components that can accommodate 40 guests. Activities Building provides educational programs. Guests can rent kayaks, jet skis, and pontoons at Rathbun Lake. Other activities include biking, beach volleyball, and train rides on the Honey Creek Express. The Preserve at Honey Creek is an Audubon-certified golf course with five sets of tees.

Honey Creek Resort State Park is 100 km from Kirksville Regional. The resort is close to the downtown districts of Centerville, Knoxville, and Moravia. Rathbun Lake and Honey Creek State Park are nearby.
