I found the air conditioning very temperamental. It switched on and off constantly. The in-room telephone also didn't work. I had to walk to reception each time I needed something. I hope they address these issues soon.

communication issue

The trip started off a bit rocky. the hotel initially couldn't provide the room i had booked for my son and me. i had to pay for an extra room at a reduced price because the initial reservation was not honored. also, the reception staff mostly comprised of asians. Their english was a bit difficult to understand, it made communication challenging. we loved the location, it was close to the city center.

I liked the hotel bar area. The food was great quality and the menu was varied. Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet breakfast, the cooked selection was exactly as expected. My room was spacious and at a comfortable temperature.

I registered my car when I checked in, but no one told me that car parking is separate. I got a £100 penalty charge for not paying the parking. The hotel claimed they cannot do anything because the fine was paid.

the room included a refrigerator which i found useful. a frequent bus service to the center was available across the street. i appreciated the nice breakfast that featured good coffee.

i found the provided toiletries basic. the bath water never got hot and took a long time to fill. there were only four english tea bags provided and no biscuits.

I really liked the communal areas. They had very open spaces. my standard room two single beds included a comfortable bed. the bathroom had a very large walk-in shower (it was so spacious!).

the toilet flush in my room seemed a bit broken, i had to flush twice sometimes.
