a haven of peace

friendly smiles lovely room quiet night

the staff offered such friendly smiles. lee arranged a lovely room, just for us. rachel at the bar was very chatty, it was a joy. i had great, quiet night of sleep and even watched deer and rabbits in the gardens.

the facilities seems awkward for persons with mobility.

the hotel is situated not far from the m5/m42. this makes it an ideal place when visiting the midlands. i found the location so peaceful hidden away from main roads.

the family room was spacious enough for all of us. breakfast had many options, with fresh ingredients. staff provided helpful information about local attractions.

the wi-fi signal was weak in some areas of the room.

poor signage black mold

I found some issues. The signage to the rooms were not helpful. The hotel seems dated and it needs a revamp. Black mold grew in and around the shower. The restaurant has a canteen feel.

clean room victorian building keg beer

i found the room tidy and clean within this victorian building. the gardens outside were quite lovely. the food had a very good selection from the bistro menu. i received great service. i liked the nice keg beers.

The signage to the hotel is not very obvious. You need to watch carefully upon approach.

This hotel sits in the lickey hills surrounded by many trees. it is not far from the m5 and m42. This makes it ideal for visiting birmingham and the midlands.
