I found the building fine, a real step back in time. the tea picking experience with chrishna was so fun. I even dressed in traditional clothes. dinner in the train carriage, tck 6685, was a highlight. The food presentation was beautiful.

I liked that staff knew hotel history. The tour of the mini tea factory was very fun. I especially liked the dinner served inside a train carriage. It.
The drinks are too expensive alcoholic, soft drinks, and beverages. The loose tea in the room was good but the tea in the dining room tasted ordinary.

I cannot recommend the evening meal served in the railway carriage, the experience was great. The food quality was superb, every penny spent felt worth it. The conductor and chef were friendly and so helpful.

i found the staff attentive the service was really good. i especially appreciated the care and attention i received from the team in the restaurant. they greeted me with smiles and ensured i felt welcome throughout my visit. chef shanmu was cute every time i went to the restaurant.
i noticed the gym facilities were limited so i had to adjust my routine slightly. i expected more modern equipment in a hotel of this standard. the machines were somewhat outdated though still functional.

the premium king room featured almost 360-degree views from teak framed windows the bathroom had great water pressure and was well kept. the room included a comfortable bed and also a room heater switch right next to the bed.

i thought the gardens were lovely and the staff were good. the tea museum is amazing too. we took a tour of the gardens and saw the great topiary. the buffet food was top tier and had a great mix of tradition food and western choices.
i was abit annoyed the hotel needs a refurb. the beds felt hard to me. breakfast wasn't included and it was over aud 1000.
