the staff were friendly and helpful, which i appreciated.
i was part of a group for four nights. the hotel itself is very dated and really needs a refurb. the food i was offered was disgraceful, and on one occasion, every single piece of grossly overcooked confit of duck presented to our party was returned. it was obvious those in control of the kitchen just couldn't cook

a sweet escape in the heart of it all

I found the location central, allowing exploration on foot. staff were kind upon my arrival, a good start. my room was super clean. It received daily care, which i appreciated. the locked courtyard provided secure parking for my car, a thoughtful provision at a reasonable price.

the location was central, a definite advantage.
The room lacked essential amenities. there was no refrigerator, inconvenient. the breakfast offered limited options. The toaster barely functioned and produced unevenly toasted bread.
