i loved the views of manhattan and the east river from the hotel it was so peaceful being on roosevelt island. the location is perfect near the tram and subway giving easy access to the city. the bed in my room was wonderfully clean and comfy i slept so well.
the hotel lacked vending machines or accessible options for obtaining water outside of the restaurant. finding alternative food or drink required a 10 to 15-minute walk in the rain or a costly order.

Island Stay

quiet areablackout blindslovely viewaudible music
The hotel is located in a quiet area easily accessible by subway. The room featured blackout blinds, important for good sleep. The panorama room on the roof offered a lovely view. I had a cooked breakfast at the restaurant, a great way to start the day.
The music from the rooftop bar was audible in my room on the 15th floor late at night. This made it difficult to fall asleep. I suggest requesting a room further away from the bar.
Dining

The hotel offered a good value breakfast, this was a really nice offering. The restaurant provided a convenient on-site dining option. The bar upstair offers a great view to the skyline, it is very nice.

The room had an amazing view of the skyline. Public transport was easily accessible from the hotel (i even liked the tram).
The bed was not comfortable. There were limited options for getting water and food besides the hotel restaurants (i didn't want to walk 10 minutes in the rain).
