Rooms with River Views
Fairmont Mara Safari Club, located at the foot of Aitong Hills, features 51 tents. These tents include four-poster beds, private bathrooms, and decks. The tents overlook the Mara River, home to hippos and crocodiles. Each tent has a wooden veranda. Rooms also have a minibar. Some tents offer private, outdoor showers and dining tables on the veranda. Two game drives per guest, per day are included.
Kenyan Cuisine
The onsite restaurant features African, European, and Asian dishes. These dishes use fresh Kenyan produce, often from the onsite vegetable and herb garden. The rustic restaurant with wooden roof serves a buffet breakfast and lunch. The chef prepares fresh juices, cereals, pastries, and egg dishes at a live cooking station. Bush dinners take place at a location a 10-minute drive from the resort.
Pool and Safari Drives
The property includes an outdoor swimming pool. Guests can enjoy game drives. These drives include scenic sundowner cocktails. The Lounge hosts Maasai dances, slide shows, and lectures. Souvenirs can be purchased through participation in the conservancy of the last two Southern white rhinos or by visiting the local school and receiving a Southern white rhino donator certificate and a school donor certificate. Balloon tours with bush breakfast are offered.
Mara Location & Access
Fairmont Mara Safari Club is a 10-minute drive from Ngerende Airstrip, which is accessible by flights from Nairobi Airport. Aircraft Leasing Services and Eagle Aviation also provide daily scheduled flights to the Mara. Olkurruk Mara is 55 km from the property. The Club sits on the foot of Aitong Hills in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
