I encountered a few issues . The soundproofing was poor, and I could clearly hear noise from the hallway early each morning (this was disruptive). The room also lacked sufficient electrical outlets (only one per side of the bed). Each outlet was occupied by a bedside lamp, complicating phone charging.

I noticed the hotel seemed dated. my room had worn carpeting and some tired furniture. the bathroom needed some attention. i also found the lack of a simple coffee maker disappointing. I would have appreciated that.

The staff was friendly and supportive. breakfast offered a great variety. the location was good for exploring serra da estrela. the calm and quiet atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing. This contributed to a very restful experience overall for me. i found the hotel to be a great value.

the pool required a swimming cap which i wasn't aware of beforehand. it would have been helpful to know this ahead of time. i think the hotel could communicate this policy more clearly.
