Hotel Engel has 47 rooms, including a Duplex Suite and a Duplex Family room. Guests choose between an economy room with a view of the historical city, or a comfort room with a view of the back garden. Rooms are available from 2:00 PM on arrival day until 11:00 AM on departure day. The Duplex Suite (38 m2) features 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower, and self-adjustable air. Economy Double Rooms City View are 22 m2. Triple Rooms Garden View Grandlit (28 m2) include a bathroom with shower, a flatscreen TV, and USB ports. Economy Single Rooms City View are located next to the traffic street and feature a bathroom with bathtub or shower, a safe, a flatscreen TV, and USB ports. Single Rooms Panorama with Balcony (16 m2) face the inner courtyard on the 6th floor and include a bathroom with a bathtub.
Dining at MAD ANGEL
The MAD ANGEL Restaurant offers experience gastronomy. The 'Baselbieter Stübli' offers a separate part of the restaurant for up to 50 guests. For banquets and seminary events, all food and drink consumed in the hotel or on hotel grounds must be purchased from the Hotel Engel.
Leisure and Activities
Hotel Engel offers a fitness room on the 4th floor with a view. Bike and e-bike infrastructure is available. The hotel has six lockable bicycle spaces with electricity. A smoking lounge with panoramic view is located in the hotel. The hotel is 85 km from Kloten.
Location and Access
The Hotel Engel and the MAD ANGEL Restaurant are located in Liestal, Baselland, facing the old historical part of town. The hotel is a 15-minute train ride from the center of Basel and its fairgrounds. By public transportation, take Bus line 80/81 from Aeschenplatz Basel to the 'Wasserturmplatz' Liestal stop (approx. 30 minutes). By car from Bern/Luzern, take the freeway towards Basel, exit at Sissach, follow signs to Liestal, then take the Liestal-Altmarkt exit and follow signs to 'Zentrum'.

Hotel Engel provides a City Lounge co-working space (10 people) on the 1st floor. A desktop computer with printer is available for guest use. The spacious Foyer/Main Entrance offers space for coffee breaks and group works. The hotel offers services and infrastructure for extra rental. Rooms are available for exclusive use. For events, the hotel requires the seating plan and the approximate time schedule 2 weeks prior to the event. The organizer of banquets and seminary agrees to purchase all food and drink that is consumed in the hotel or on hotel grounds from the Hotel Engel.
