Spotlessly Clean and Recently Refurbished Room

My room was clean. It looked to have just been refurbished. The lady on reception was very friendly. She even called at 7:30 to ask when I wanted breakfast served in my room. It was a pleasant surprise.

A lovely experience, really

friendly staff delicious breakfast
I loved that they offered a friendly service, with staff happy to find an alternative room when I mentioned my knee injury! There was tea and coffee right in the room, a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was delicious, and I chose the full English buffet, perfect after a good night's sleep.
I noticed a strange smell throughout the building, a persistent unpleasant odor. The fire alarm disrupted my rest after a tiring day, really jarring. This needs addressing to ensure a better experience for all guests.

housekeeping staff water pressure room options family options
I appreciated the housekeeping staff a LOT. they kept EVERYTHING clean VERY nicely. the showers WOW were AMAZING! the water PRESSURE was great. i liked the variety OF rooms too. Single, double, twins, and family options WERE there.
the room WAS small, and the bed was against the wall. THAT wasn't ideal but i manage.

underground area limited options
I must say, my basement room lacked natural light. The window faced an underground area. I anticipated a dining room for breakfast. Instead, I received a phone call at 7:15 AM requesting my order. There were no instructions in the room. Plus, late afternoon on Sunday, I expected snack dispensers. I had to trek into town. Options were limited at that hour!!!
