mixed feelings about my stay

parking issuenoisy room
Parking was a big issue. the restaurant was so busy on the weekend that i struggled to find a spot, and i seemed like a second-class citizen at the hotel. my room was not quiet despite requesting it. I could hear people on the stairs late into the night and housekeeping started early and was noisy.

the gardens seemed pretty well-kept at least.
I wouldn't say the staff was rude exactly, but far from cute. i asked about breakfast one morning and got a blank stare. Apparently, it wasn't included even though i booked through a third party (.. ). later, i found hairs in the bath, which really isn't my idea of luxury.

Satisfactory experience

The swimming pool was a welcome feature. Customer service was good, I found the atmosphere relaxed. The staff were friendly.
The room was small. I had no space to put my suitcase and no desk was provided. There was barely enough space to make a cup of tea on the shelf where the kettle sat.. There was no air conditioning and no window.
