Leisure Facilities
Guests can experience a traditional onsen. The mountain area features a terrain park with jumps, kickers, and rails for all experience levels. Goryu, on the left side of the Toomi run, has on-slope restaurants and bars. Hakuba 47's snow conditions hold up better than those with southerly aspects. The hotel's design blends Japanese aesthetics with a Canadian wood lodge style.
Location Highlights
Double Black Hotel is near watering holes and eateries on the village's main road. It is near Happo One, the site of the 1998 Winter Olympics Downhill and Super G races, accessible via gondola. It's near the Hakuba Art Museum (1.5 km), Hakuba Olympic Museum (1 km), Happonoyu (0.5 km), and Goryu (1 km). Echo Land, one of the newest areas in the valley, is nearby.
Hotel Services
Friendly Double Black staff provide information on dining and exploration during your stay. Staff can show you the cocktail list. The hotel has excellent bus links to mountain resorts in the area. Note: missing the last local bus to Hakuba may require an overnight stay in Nagano.
“This Hakuba hotel strikes a comfortable balance, featuring cozy, well-appointed rooms and a staff known for attentiveness and readily providing transport to nearby ski areas; the on-site bar, moreover, earns high marks for creative cocktails. Though recently reopened, it already offers a solid experience, particularly appealing to those seeking a friendly, convenient base for enjoying the slopes. Its blend of Japanese and Western elements creates a distinctive, welcoming atmosphere.”
