Balanced stay at the complex

tropical gardens clean pools limited sun blackout curtain

The hotel grounds have excellent tropical gardens. The grounds spread across 12 acres in a village style. I also liked the exit door close to the beach and the marina. The staff kept the pools clean.

The sun did not hit the pool until nearly 11am , and it disappeared behind a building around 4pm. The blackout curtain in the room had come off its track.

awful lunch hidden costs

The food at the dinner buffet was only ok. I found the lunch to be honestly awful. I was hoping to try the Michelin restaurant, but they only offered a tasting menu that cost €140 (that's QUITE a lot). We were charged for using the safe and for the coffee pods, which I thought were complimentary. The AUDACITY!

balanced stay

botanical gardens relaxing environment wide pedestrian walkway easy walk pool view nice balcony dated decor old decoration blackout curtain broken curtain few drawers shallow drawers

the hotel grounds include botanical gardens both inside and outside. this creates a peaceful relaxing environment. the walk to town is short on a wide pedestrian walkway. the room had a balcony overlooking the pool.

the bedroom decor was dated. blackout curtain in our room had come off its track. there were hardly any drawers for clothes.

a stay with mixed feelings

limited sunshine dated decor

I found the lack of sun at the pool disappointing. The hotel's location in a valley means the sun was limited. my room was also quite dark. the decor felt dated and there was insufficient storage. the safe incurred a daily fee. these issues detracted from an otherwise acceptable stay.

Botanical Oasis Stay

separate sinks seating area botanical gardens peaceful spots

I stayed in a superior double room. The room had two separate sinks in the bathroom. I appreciated the separate seating area with comfortable chairs. The hotel grounds featured many pools. I also enjoyed the botanical gardens and their peaceful spots.

The evening meal was repetitive. Choice felt somewhat limited, but acceptable.

Dining

The breakfast buffet offered many options. I found lots of choices available. There were options for vegetarians and healthy food enthusiasts (that's me!).

Facilities

Several swimming pools were available with attendants nearby. The gym included treadmills and stationary bikes. The botanical gardens provided tranquil nooks. The location is close to the harbor.

Service

The staff are friendly and helpful at every turn. Pool attendants provide assistance. Wi-fi was generally good. The hotel is clean and well-kept.
