the house reef was great for snorkeling. i saw a lot of fish right off the beach.

i was disappointed with the all-inclusive package. i had to pay extra for many items, even for a coke from a bottle (the cheap version from the dispenser was included only). this made it seem not so all-inclusive.

the staff was friendly and hard working.

The swimming area was a letdown. The water was shallow. there was rocky rubble preventing easy access to deeper waters. it was hard to swim, a core part of what i envisioned for a maldives trip (i was really hoping for proper swimming).

a serene maldivian escape

I chose the water bungalow and the all-inclusive package. the mantaray boat trip was amazing, i swam with many mantas. the resort had very nice fish and sharks around the reef. Snorkeling is essential there. the spa treatment with a balinese massage was wonderful with gentle therapists. we booked a speedboat for arrival and a seaplane for the return to male.

The water bungalows lack direct water access steps. sunbathing is limited to the balcony, requiring a walk to the beach for sunbeds. open-air bathrooms in semi-detached water bungalows mean you can hear neighbors' noises. This was a little intrusive.

the receptionist showed us to our upgraded room giving a lovely introduction. a server at the à la carte restaurant was attentive and gracious making our stay special. the staff were polite friendly and helpful always available to answer any questions.

the upgraded rooms were gorgeous and spotlessly cleaned daily offering a private space. the water bungalow was spacious providing a comfortable stay. the outdoor shower and bathroom were a favorite feature next to the bungalow's deck.

the food consistently offered variety and flavor at the a la carte restaurant. the all-inclusive plan featured a wide range of culinary delights with great food. meals were offered at set times plus snacks like sandwiches between main meals.

the house reef is easily accessible and fine for snorkelers with a dramatic drop-off. plenty of activities are available plus an abundance of water creatures. the island had clear turquoise water and picturesque scenery.

I stayed in a beach bungalow. the food included a wide variety in both the buffet and the à la carte restaurant. the sea was really clear. I saw lots of reef sharks and turtles.
