missing staff insufficient tea bags

the self check-in was easy, i guess. holly contacted me and told me exactly what i needed to do.

I really did not like that there was no staff around at all. it felt really impersonal and a bit creepy to be honest. i also think there should have been more tea bags, as i only got two for my whole stay. Hardly enough for a caffeine addict like myself.

basic stay WITH ISSUES

lack of staff damage waiver

the room was clean and i had plenty of towels.

I REALLY DISLIKED the lack of staff present. It felt unsafe. there was no one at reception, only phone contact. this, especially at night. also, the request for a £200 damage waiver on my card was unacceptable. I refused to pay it.

parking charge direct bank transfer

the room was clean and had everything i needed for my short stay.

then, i was not allowed to enter until i had made a direct bank transfer of £200. i had to cancel the stay but it was charged to my debit card anyway, and it was difficult to get refunded. overall, it was a really inconvenient and frustrating start to my trip.

noticeable odor stained bedsheets

The location was central, so getting around was pretty easy.

My room had a noticeable odor, and to make matters worse, I saw a stain on the bed sheets. The shower wasn't great either. I also didn't see any staff around which wasn't great.

central location with safe parking

gated carpark luggage storage

the room was spacious, clean, and modern. the gated carpark offered safe and easy parking, a real plus in this location. i was also allowed a late checkout and the hotel provided luggage storage.

my main issue was the lack of staff on site, particularly at reception. while i understand the self-check-in process, it felt impersonal and raised concerns about assistance in case of emergencies.
