“This family-run hotel struck me as a particularly welcoming place to stay in Wolsingham. I noted the combination of traditional English fare and home-style Indian dishes, while the recent renovations appear to complement the spacious rooms. From what I gather, it's a comfortable base for exploring nearby attractions like Beamish Museum and the North Pennines.”

comfortable stay

friendly stafflarge parkingovernight stayrun down building
i genuinely enjoyed my overnight stay. i found the service to be fantastic, with friendly and polite staff (they gave a warm welcome). the large parking area suited parking my coach with no issues at all.
i thought the building looked very run down. i expected a discount the next morning as they admitted their mistake about the heating. they still took the full amount for the stay, and i found it disappointing.

helpful staffdouble bedgood value
The staff was friendly and helpful. They knew a lot about the area and happily shared information. I had a Standard Double Room, large with a settee and double bed. It felt very comfy. Dinner was quite inexpensive. I thought it was a good value.
I wrongly assumed breakfast was included. I should have researched it better.

the staff were very friendly. they were also accommodating to our group after a challenge nearby. the rooms were spacious and clean (i really liked this!). the shower worked great.
i think the hotel was a bit overpriced. i assumed breakfast was included, but it was not. i also noticed the wall light switches did not work (though i forgot to mention it).
