Sidai Restaurant serves an a la carte menu with Western and local dishes from 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm. On the rooftop, catch views of Temengor Lake.
Leisure and Activities
Belum Rainforest Resort is suited for bird watchers, with over 300 avian species, including hornbills. The resort features a rainforest pool, herbal garden (open 9:00 am - 4:00 pm), and Temengor House, a mock-up traditional Malay house. Guests can experience guided nature walks, bamboo rafting, kayaking, and fishing at the jetty. Rafflesia flowers grow in the area. A boat tour around the island is available.
Location and Access
Belum Rainforest Resort is 200 km from Penang International Airport. Driving from Kuala Lumpur takes four to five hours via the North-South Highway, exiting at Kuala Kangsar. The nearest town, Gerik, is 45 minutes away. Public buses serve Gerik from Kuala Lumpur (approx RM45). Taxis are available from Gerik bus station (approx RM60). The closest train station is Kuala Kangsar, about 1.5 hours from the resort.
Services On Offer
Packed lunches are included with some options. The resort provides access to a Stingless Bee Farm and Wild Orchid Garden. Guests can arrange a Dinner on a Houseboat. Those with special dietary requests should make them at least 7 days earlier. During tours, spotting elephants, otters, and birds is possible. English-speaking guides are available. Private tours incur an extra charge of RM250 per boat.
