the arrival WAS a mess. just four check-in desks served both hotels. the wait was far too long. no one explained breakfast, restaurants, or even where my room was. i also found the room KEY had the wrong hotel NAME printed on it. it created confusion about what facilities i could use.

the location was acceptable, right on the beachfront (i suppose).
Honestly, i don't understand how this place gets away with calling itself 5-stars. the arunika restaurant was a massive letdown. The food was bland and tasted highly processed. to top it off, i found a hair in my food (yum!).

excellent hotel in a beautiful location

the building design impressed me. well-kept gardens surround it. the hotel offers direct beach access with sun loungers and bar service. i found cafes, restaurants, and massage places within a short walk. i hired a bike from the hotel and enjoyed the nearby paths. the first hour was free.
the lights attached to each balcony remained on until midnight. i was not given information about when they would switch off. it affected sleep.

i liked the location. it was near the icon shopping mall, it was a big plus. the gym had well maintained gear. it was comparable to most commercial gyms. the breakfast was amazing. there are so many food choices.
the communication before arriving was very poor. it took long to get an answer. checking in was also not a great experience. there are 3 elevators for around 300 people. i experienced long waiting times going up or down.
