adequate but with issues
sloping bed chinese food smell
The bed wasn't great. It sloped downwards. i kept sliding off it during the night. also, the whole place smelled strongly of chinese food. Like a takeaway shop was in the lobby. it was overpowering.

wonderful stay
warm welcome tea facilities amazing fruit salad
I was greeted warmly and shown around the hotel. my room had tea and coffee facilities plus a mini fridge. the presentation of the optional breakfast really surprised me. I tried the fruit salad and it was amazing.
the bathroom drains had a slight odor, likely from disuse (i think i was one of the only guests).

the double room had comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. it felt spacious enough for my family. everything was spotlessly clean which i really appreciated (cleanliness is important!).

the hotel is approximately a ten-minute walk from the seafront. torre abbey and torbay museum are easily accessible. the railway station is nearby for convenient travel.

attentive hosts and super clean room
warm greeting super clean hotel great food quality
fonz greeted me warmly upon arrival. the hotel was well maintained and super clean. my room had everything i needed and it was spotlessly clean. breakfast had great presentation and food quality.
The bathroom drains had an unpleasant smell. Maybe it was because the hotel was not at full capacity

the single room featured complimentary toiletries and a small fridge. i noticed a fan. i also saw a hairdryer. coffee and tea making facilities, useful. the room size felt adequate for one person.
