From Kinabalu Park Entrance, the resort is a 5- to 10-minute walk (1.3 km). The resort is situated between Kiau Valley and Bundu Tuhan valley. Nearby landmarks include Kinabalu Park (1 km), Taman Botani (1 km), Timpohon Gate (3 km), and Kundasang War Memorial (5 km). Kundasang Township, with local shops, is 6 km away.
Transportation Services
For transport, a daily bus from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau departs at 8:00 am near the Padang Bus Station. Budget taxis that accommodate 4 passengers are available there. Car parking is provided. As many as twenty vehicles, including coaches and buses, can park at Panataran Kinabalu Restaurant. Driving from Kota Kinabalu-Ranau road, look for the Ayana Holiday Resort signboard near the roadside after passing Bundu Tuhan junction (91km).
