A-Train Hotel is a unique 3-star hotel with a train theme. The hotel is run by Jos Heijnsdijk, Erika Jonker, and GM Ali Hassan. The hotel is located across from the Central Train Station. The Red Light District, one of the oldest parts of town, is nearby. The building maintains a traditional Dutch style. The hotel includes an elevator and luggage storage.

The hotel rooms feature rose and gold bedspreads, blue and gold curtains, and rosewood effect furniture. Some units include a seating area. Select rooms offer river or garden views. Room features include cable TV. Rooms with more than 2 beds do not accept only males. Room options include a single room, a first-class room with Central Station views, an Old Dutch Suite with a private garden, a triple room, a family double room, a deluxe family room, a family room on two floors with a play corner, and a two-story apartment with a play area and kitchenette. Amenities include ironing facilities, air conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, a sitting area, and a flat-screen TV.
Dining at Pullman Lounge
Guests can enjoy a Dutch breakfast buffet in the Pullman lounge, designed as a train restaurant car with banquettes, green and wood decor, train pictures, luggage racks, and a train track painted on the floor leading to the breakfast room and elevators. The Pullman lounge is air-conditioned. After breakfast, guests can relax in the Pullman lounge with a drink, with free 24-hour coffee and tea available. The onsite theme restaurant is the Pullman Lounge.
Location and Access
The A-Train Hotel is located in front of the Central Railway Station, in Amsterdam's city center. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to De Dam square. The Paleis op de Dam is located in the city center. From Schiphol Airport, trains run to Amsterdam Central Station. A taxi from Schiphol Plaza takes approximately 25 minutes, with a minimum fare of €60. Q-Park Nieuwendijk, a 3-minute walk from the hotel, offers parking. P + R Parking is a 10-minute drive, costing €8.50 per 24 hours, followed by a tram ride to Amsterdam Central Station and a 30-minute walk.
