cold air disruptive noise

The hotel is very close to Yasaka Shrine.

I found the air conditioning barely functional. The room felt stuffy because it did not support cold air. Opening the window introduced bothersome noise from both birds and cars, disrupting my sleep. The lack of body lotion and bath agent was another disappointment.

Charming Gion Getaway, A Good Stay

central location helpful staff comfortable bed

I was actually surprised by the location. It is really central. The hotel is near various food places and shops. I could walk to many attractions! The staff members were friendly and helpful. The double bed was comfortable.

The fans in the bathroom did not work! This made the small room super hot and steamy, and I wish they fixed that.

Rooms

9/10

The double room had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, and I appreciated the daily replenishment of towels at the door. The room size was adequate and well-kept. I liked it a lot.

Facilities

10/10

The hotel's location is excellent, with a metro station nearby. It is also a short walk to a shrine. I found a Starbucks right at the base of the building. It was quite convenient for morning coffee. Access to public transport was a standout feature.

Dining

8/10

While I didn't explore all dining options, the proximity to various restaurants was a huge plus. The neighborhood has many little streets with options. I discovered a few hidden gems. A varied buffet is available. You can sample diverse items from Japanese cuisine.
