Rooms and Villas
The hotel offers nine rooms and two villas. Casa Sol is a two-story villa with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, and a tropical garden bathroom with hot water. The upstairs bedroom has one queen and one single bed and a wrap-around balcony with chairs and a couch, with a sea view and an oceanfront garden. Casa Luna, can house up to 7 people and has three bedrooms downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, dinning table and large tropical garden bathroom with hot water and two sinks. The air-conditioned double rooms have a private bathroom with hot water, safety-deposit box, closet, and Fiber optic wifi.
Dining at Amor de Mar
The onsite restaurant serves breakfast and lunches with organic ingredients. The varied menu includes homemade bread, tropical fruit jams, salads, and pastas. Breakfast options include oatmeal with fresh fruit, almonds, honey, or brown sugar; Eggs Florentine with poached eggs, seed bread, avocado, spinach, and Hollandaise sauce; and Huevos Rancheros with fried eggs, tortillas, salsa ranchera, gallo pinto, and plantains. Also available: quinoa bowl with dates, dried cranberries, almonds, fresh fruit, agave syrup and pinto bowl with eggs, avocado, plantain, natilla, turrialba cheese.
Tranquility and Activities
Guests can relax in hammocks in the garden and enjoy the natural tide pool with an ocean view. Spa - El Jardin Sanador offers Japanese treatment by applying pressure and stretching to regulate energy flow, eliminate toxins and activating self-healing; Acupressure treatment influences endorphins secretion and neurotransmitters connection; and Soft pressure treatment uses essential oils for nervous system relaxation and blood circulation stimulation. Different types of clay application stimulate digestion and nutrients absorption.
Location & Transportation
Hotel Amor de Mar is 20 km from Tambor and a 10-minute walk from the center of Montezuma, across from the waterfall. Transportation options include a shuttle from San Jose or Liberia to Herradura beach, followed by a one-hour taxi boat ride. A 25-minute flight from San Jose's domestic airport and a 25-minute taxi ride are also available. Renting a car allows driving to Puntarenas for the Ferry to Paquera. A direct bus is available as well.
