Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Alnwick Lodge West Cawledge Park is a quirky and memorable place to stay, especially if you are looking for something different from a chain hotel experience. Many guests appreciate the unique character of the accommodation, finding it cosy and comfortable, with a charming traditional English feel. The location is convenient for exploring the surrounding area, like Alnwick and Bamburgh, although some have noted the entrance/exit can be a little tricky due to its proximity to the A1. A highlight for many is the delicious breakfast, sometimes enjoyed in the courtyard when the weather is nice.

charming drawing room delicious yogurt good gift shop
The hotel features a communal drawing room with a large wood burner that was quite charming. Breakfast included options of a full English breakfast, porridge, and fresh fruit. The yogurt was particularly delicious. I appreciated the gift shop with its selection of items related to the restoration business.
My room lacked a window, which affected the overall comfort slightly.
