For over 50 years, the hotel has been named after the Gazzettino newspaper, which had its headquarters across the street. It is located in San Marco, surrounded by Venetian alleys and small squares.

Rooms overlook a Venetian canal. Each room includes fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a mini bar, an LCD TV with satellite channels, a safe, a hairdryer, and towel warmers. Rooms feature a private mosaic bathroom with showers. Rooms have wooden or tiled floors. Room options include Classic, Superior, and Deluxe Canal View. Some rooms include Murano glass chandeliers. Rooms on the first and second floor, have red refined décor, with 18th-century Venetian-style furniture and Murano-glass lamps.
