the staff seemed friendly enough it's true the location is good for glacier hopping too

the bathroom was a real problem mold seemed to be having a party behind the toilet i almost passed out holding my breath the smell honestly ruined the whole experience and i had to skip showering i think they renovated the main building but forgot the satellite ones where i stayed

Fantastic Stay Near the Glacier!

The location proved very convenient. I wanted to visit the Jökulsárlón area. The beds were so comfortable. I got two pillows, a detail I greatly appreciated since I prefer to sleep on higher pillows. I even saw the aurora borealis on my first night. It was amazing!

The food available was amazing. I had a roasted Camembert with a local beer. I found it a perfect combination after hiking on the glacier. Burgers were probably the best I had during my trip to Iceland.

I noticed how clean the room was. I give huge thanks for that! I also appreciated the receptionist. He welcomed us very nicely and spoke at least four different languages. He seemed patient. The breakfast offered a nice selection, so you can choose what you want..

The quality didn't fully match the price that I paid. The room had zero sound insulation. I could hear everything in the hallway. I thought the mattress was way too soft. It wasn't the type of hotel to stay two nights, sadly.
