"One charming thing: they give you an old Austrian shilling as your 'token' to hand in at breakfast."

Rooms at Adlerhof
The Adlerhof offers rustic rooms with satellite TV and a bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Each room includes one double bed and two single beds, or one double bed and a sofa bed. Apartments feature a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware. All apartments have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, soundproof walls, a minibar, and a coffee machine. Some rooms offer views of the city or garden. A parking space in a garage near the hotel (200 meters) is included in the rate.
Dining
Breakfast is served as a small buffet in the historic breakfast room, an original 19th-century café. The breakfast room and the stucco works on the façade date from this period.
Location
Adlerhof is a 5-minute walk from Salzburg Central. Landmarks nearby include Linzergasse (2 km), Messezentrum Salzburg Exhibition Center (1.5 km), Salzburg Museum (2 km), Mirabell Palace (0.5 km), Fortress Hohensalzburg (2 km), Mozart's Birthplace (2 km), Salzburg Congress Convention Center (0.5 km), Salzburg Cathedral (2 km), and the Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg (2 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The Adlerhof is 10 km from W. A. Mozart. The most important bike paths are located right next to the Adlerhof. It is always possible to park in the public car parking areas around the house.
Transportation Hub
The hotel is a great choice for bus travelers. Bus 150 connects Salzburg with Hallstatt, also covering St Gilgen, Bad Ischl, and St Wolfgang. Bus 25 goes directly from the main station to the Palace of Hellbrunn. Another bus terminal in the South of Salzburg has buses leaving for Southern or Eastern destinations. Munich Airport and Vienna Airport are easily reachable by train. It is possible to travel from Salzburg to many great cities throughout Europe for a bargain.
Hotel Services
Reception is attended 24 hours. The Adlerhof is a protected building dating from 1900, providing a budget alternative to mass touristic chain hotels. Guests can sleep until the latest check-out at 11 a.m. The parking lot has an open and public character.
“From Adlerhof, the train station is a quick hop, and the heart of Salzburg is easily walkable. Its charm lies in offering solid value, especially with breakfast included, though the decor could use a refresh. I think it's a practical base for exploring the city without breaking the bank.”
