Activities and Environment

Wuksachi Lodge offers access to year-round activities, towering Sequoia trees, valleys, and waterfalls. Guests enjoy stone fireplaces, natural wood, and views of the surrounding forest and High Sierra Mountains. This lodge is near the Giant Forest Grove of the Big Trees and the Giant Forest Museum. Landmarks nearby include The Presidente tree (2.5 km), Generals Highway (7.5 km), Giant Forest (3.5 km), The Congress Trail (2.5 km), Tunnel Log (6 km), Lodgepole Visitor Center (3.5 km), Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks (5 km), and General Sherman Tree (2.5 km).

Location & Access

Wuksachi Lodge is in Sequoia National Park, perched on a rocky outcropping some 7200 feet above sea level. The guest rooms are in outlying buildings 100 to 200 yards from the main lodge. An ADA van and bellman/driver are available to assist to reach the buildings from these parking areas. The individual guest rooms have nearby parking lots with luggage carts available. Accessible parking spaces for cars and van-accessible parking spaces are provided in the self-parking facility. Visalia Municipal Airport is 100 km away. Travel between Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park may require that chains be worn on your vehicle between November through April, as directed by the National Park Service.

Services & Accessibility

Wuksachi Lodge offers assistance to guests who need it. The main lodge contains the front desk, restaurant, market, and lobby. Standard, Deluxe, and Superior category rooms are available for the physically challenged. Limited wireless internet is available in designated areas of the main lodge. The gift shop is completely open with no doors or obstacles.

“Visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon demands proximity, and this stone-and-cedar lodge answers that call. I note the alpine-style dining, a high point, framed by forest views, with dishes reflecting the setting. For families prioritizing accessibility alongside natural beauty, this could be a smart choice.”
