Rooms: Studios to Suites
Windward at the Beach offers studios, efficiencies, and suites. Studios feature a small refrigerator, microwave, a flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom. Efficiencies have two full beds, a twin daybed with trundle, a full kitchen with a mini-refrigerator, oven, and stove. Suites include a full kitchen with a stovetop and refrigerator, plus two separate bedrooms. Some rooms have views of the Atlantic Ocean and Veterans Park. Rooms 10 and 11 are on the 3rd floor accessible by steep stairs.
Leisure and Entertainment
Guests can use the enclosed wrap-around porch for socializing, reading, or children can use the library. Beach access is 200 steps from the hotel. Beach badges are available with a deposit. Private outside showers and an outdoor picnic area with gas grills are on site. Children's activities include books and games.
Location near transportation
Windward at the Beach is on Long Beach Island, at the corner of Amber and Atlantic, two blocks south of Beach Haven's center. From the Garden State Parkway SOUTH, take Exit 63 to Long Beach Island, then Route 72 East. Atlantic City Airport is 80 km away. Newark Liberty and Philadelphia International Airports are other options. Connect to Beach Haven via bus or taxi/car service ShoreSunrise.com. The hotel is walkable to restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy, ice cream, and Bay Village.
Hotel Services Offered
The hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi, beach chairs, and babysitting referrals. Guests arriving early may use the beach chairs, private outside showers, and picnic area. Check-out is at 11:00 am; late check-outs are not available. Guests can retain beach badges until 4:00 pm and use outdoor showers after check-out. There is an ice machine next to the office.
