i found the food to be excellent. the prawn and crayfish salad was divine. the homemade pie featured tender steak, definitely worth the price (it was huge!).

Decent Location, Disappointing Room

The location was really good, and close to everything.
The room needed an update. The bed felt old and the pillows were very flat. The bathroom had some rust around the fixtures, and the shower was not powerful at all.

I found the staff to be genuinely cute. The hotel breakfast included many options. I enjoyed the hot food. The room was spacious and super clean. I also appreciated the real character and oak beams of the building.
The staircase to the upper rooms is quite steep.

The friendly welcome created a tender experience. i found the room very very comfy and tidy with a smart modern ensuite. the river view from the room was fine. It gave me a lovely perspective.
the staircase was steep, and i found it difficult to negotiate with luggage.

The lunch was excellent. I enjoyed pea and mint soup, lamb shank, roast cod, and dessert. the staff were great, and claire was attentive when chatting with some french guests. the cask ales and wine by the glass tasted good!
