“I found this hotel striking for its blend of modern design with thoughtful Japanese touches. Its proximity to subway stations and major attractions, like Nijo Castle, makes it a practical base for exploring Kyoto; though central climate control might not suit every traveler. The hotpot dining option is a nice alternative to the usual hotel fare, adding to the overall appeal.”

amazing location in the heart of it all!

perfect location easy access many shops souvenir access
i stayed at a standard twin room for three nights. its location was perfect for exploring. the hotel is steps away from nishiki market and many shops, so i could easily grab a snack or souvenir. i loved being able to walk to gion too.
the breakfast area got a little crowded during peak hours, making it slightly less enjoyable.
Rooms

the room was spacious and bright, i was kinda surprised. it featured two comfortable twin beds, crisp linens and a well kept bathroom with modern fixtures, a great comfort. i found it a relaxing space.

Excellent Location and Clean Rooms

cute staff corner room movable tv comfortable bed
The staff were very cute upon arrival. I got upgraded to a larger corner room and appreciated that. The large movable TV let me watch Netflix. The beds and pillows were comfortable and bigger than other hotels I have stayed in. I could not hear traffic, so the soundproofing was excellent.
The room layout meant the fridge door blocked the walking passage when opened.

The washing machines and dryers were very handy. The location is close to shops and restaurants and it put me right in the hub of everything. I found it easy to access amenities.

adequate stay with breakfast issues.

limited choices breakfast issue
breakfast was a letdown. there were very few options suitable for western tastes. fresh fruit needed constant replenishing, and croissants were missing on some mornings. this hotel definitely needs to improve breakfast variety.

polite staff clean room unstable wifi missing amenity
the staff was so polite, they were accommodating always. our room was big, i think the standard twin room, it was very clean also. the hotel location places you just a walk from shops i was looking for.
the wifi, oh, the wifi. in my room, it didn't work the all time, i couldn't do work for days. also, there were no tea or coffee things in the room, that's a need.
