Villa Gunbatimi features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Kalkan Bay, three en-suite bedrooms, four terraces, and a garden.
Dining choices
Guests dine at the Beach Club, a waterfront terrace restaurant with views. Breakfast includes breads, pastries, fresh fruit and juices, yoghurt, local honey, olives, and cheese. The restaurant serves fresh food with local ingredients, such as crispy calamari. The menu includes meze and meat mains such as Ottoman-style leg of lamb and Mahmudiye (chicken cooked with apricots, almonds, and onions), plus kebabs. Traditional Turkish dishes, such as künefe (cheese and honey based), are available, along with international options like chocolate mousse. Lunch is served at the waterside restaurant, where guests can enjoy dishes such as crispy calamari and freshly prepared pides.
Leisure and activities
The hotel features a triangular infinity pool and a 17-meter infinity pool with a jacuzzi. Steps lead down to the Mahal Beach Club, which offers platforms built into the hillside under olive trees. Sunbeds are available. Guests can get a massage in a natural cave. The verdant Lycian Coast offers opportunities to see local flora and fauna. Guests can take a cruise to Kastellorizo Greek Island to swim through the Blue Cave and explore Greek culture. The fully crewed Mahal Yacht, a Dufour Grand Large 52, offers cruises along the Mediterranean coastline and has three cabins.
Location and access
Hotel Villa Mahal is located in Kalkan Bay on the Lycian coast, 100 km from Dalaman. The hotel is set on a hillside and is 650m from Kalkan harbor (10-minute water-taxi) and 1.2km from Kalkan village (20-minute walk or 5-minute drive). The hotel's architecture resembles that of the Greek Island of Meis. Ancient sites near the hotel include Pinara, Letoon, Xanthos, Patara, Arycanda, and Telmessos. The hotel provides a water-taxi service to Kalkan harbor (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
