Velassaru Maldives has five restaurants and two bars. Sand restaurant, next to the water, has a teppanyaki grill serving surf and turf and Maldivian lobster. A Japanese restaurant offers the freshest cuisine. Etesian has a dining room with burgundy cushioned chairs, hardwood floors, dim lighting, and glass globe decor, with polished tile floors, gray fabric chairs and white table cloths, and a glassed-in wine cabinet on the other side. A buffet includes freshly squeezed juice, a bacon station, crêpe and waffle station, and an omelette station. The restaurants suggest local favourites to try like mas huni. Creative teppanyaki, Pan Indian Ocean Cuisine, Contemporary Fresh Seafood, and international favourites are available.
