Troutbeck Inn, Troutbeck (Eden)

Troutbeck Inn has seven en-suite bedrooms in a traditional country style. Options include one single room, one twin room, two large double rooms, two standard double rooms, and one deluxe double room (room 4, which is non-dog friendly). Rates include a full English breakfast served from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with a continental breakfast alternative. Additionally, there are three self-catering cottages converted from former stables, located in the courtyard behind the Inn: two two-bedroom cottages and one one-bedroom cottage. All cottages feature beamed ceilings and mountain views. Blencathra Cottage accommodates up to four people and features a main bedroom with a king-size bed, a twin bedroom with two single beds, and an open-plan living area with a kitchen that includes a fridge, oven, induction hob, and smart TV. Little Mell Cottage is suitable for up to two people and two dogs, with a kitchen including an oven, induction hob, microwave, and fridge, plus a lounge with a smart TV. Saddleback Cottage accommodates up to four people and two dogs, with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area featuring views of Blencathra and a kitchen area with a fridge, oven, hob, and microwave.

Guests dine in the bar and restaurant, where meals are prepared using ingredients sourced locally. Breakfast is served in the bar area. On Sundays, food is served from 12 PM until 9 PM. The bar area is dog-friendly.

The Troutbeck Inn is situated near various outdoor activities. Rookin House Activity Centre, one mile towards Ullswater, offers horse riding, quad biking, archery, and clay pigeon shooting. Guests have access to paddle boards. The Inn is located on National Cycling Route 71, for cycling to Keswick and Penrith. Coniston Boating Centre offers motor boat, kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals. The Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre on Windermere lakeshore features a range of watersports, boat rentals, and instruction.

Located in the North Lakes, The Troutbeck Inn is 20 minutes from Keswick and Ullswater (Aira Force, Glenridding, and Pooley Bridge). The Inn is 55 km from Carlisle Lake District. It is near Blencathra, Skiddaw, and Helvellyn. The Troutbeck Inn is accessible via the A5091, visible from the A66. Keswick and Penrith are nine miles away and easily accessible by car or bus. The nearest bus stop (lines x4, x5, and x50) is 200 yards away. Penrith, nine miles away, is the nearest train station; taxis are available from the station.

Check-in for rooms and cottages is from 4 PM to 9:30 PM. Dogs are welcome in cottages and certain rooms for £10.00 per dog per night. Room tabs are available for guests staying in the Inn, not cottages. The Inn has a gravel parking lot lit by flood lights. The main entrance has three steps with a handrail, with a step-free entrance around the back. All rooms are on the first floor; none are designed for access needs. When entering the Inn, slide the fitted handle to the right to open the door. The Inn provides dog-friendly accommodations in the bar area. There is a general bin available near the oil tank. Dogs must be exercised off the grounds.
