Tierra Atacama is 100 km from El Loa. The town of San Pedro de Atacama is an oasis in the desert, fed by the Grande and Salado rivers. Daily flights from Santiago arrive in Calama in northern Chile, which is an hour's drive from San Pedro de Atacama.
