Rooms to recharge

Porches Inn offers extended-stay suites featuring a bedroom with a queen- or king-sized bed, a living room, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster oven, sink, and dining service for four. Each floor showcases collections of art pieces, paintings, and portraits, including those of five presidents. All bathrooms include slate floors and interior windows with frosted glass and mirror frames created from the building's original window frames. Rooms include retro furniture and collectibles. A flat-screen TV, iPod dock, and minibar are also featured. Some suites have a separate seating area with a sofa bed.

Onsite eating and drinking

The museum campus features affordably priced cafés, a full-service restaurant, ice cream, coffee, and an innovative microbrewery. The microbrewery spotlights locally malted grains and hops grown in the Berkshire valley.

Leisure and Wellness

The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art is home to galleries of art and an indoor/outdoor performing arts venue. MASS MoCA embraces music, sculpture, dance, film, painting, photography, and theater. A separate building houses a 425 square-foot Fitness Center with plate-glass windows overlooking MASS MoCA. A sauna with changing rooms is located behind the main reception building.

Location and Surroundings

Located in North Adams, Porches Inn is near the northern Berkshires and the highest peak in Massachusetts. The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, known for its Impressionist collection with 36 Renoirs plus works by Degas and Monet, is nearby. The hotel is near bike paths and rivers suitable for fishing or rafting. Nearby landmarks include the Western Gateway Heritage State Park Visitors Center (0.5 km), Eclipse Mill Artist Lofts (1.5 km), and the Hoosac Tunnel (3.5 km). Albany International is 75 km away.
