“The Old Talbot Rooms offers stylish, recently updated accommodations near Milton Keynes, but its food service seems to be inconsistent. While some appreciate the Sunday carvery and friendly staff, others have found the restaurant experience disappointing. Addressing the food quality could elevate this property to its full potential.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests often appreciate the well-designed and clean rooms, some noting how spacious they are. Little touches like the provided coffee machine, kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even homemade brownies are frequently mentioned as a plus. The location is considered convenient, especially for visiting Bletchley Park and Silverstone, and some have pointed out the proximity to Plum Park Manor; though a few guests found the restaurant food to be not up to expectations, others have enjoyed the pub food, considering it good value for money. Some rooms also feature a porch with a pleasant view.

i stayed in a superior double room. the table and chairs outside my room was so cool! yes, i did sit looking out over the car park, but it was nice to be outside drinking tea. brownies was even there on arrival! what a touch!
the fire alarm went off, it was a faulty sensor. i know they were aware of it though. i also noticed the fire regulations weren't attached to the door.
