Rooms
The Kandy Samadhi Centre provides accommodations for 40 guests. Classic Wing rooms host up to four guests and feature large bathrooms with a full bathtub. The Triple R Pavilion accommodates six to seven guests, has three bedrooms, two outdoor bathrooms, and a balcony. River Rooms accommodate up to six guests, and guests can book a single room or the entire bungalow. All rooms include king-size beds with handwoven cotton bed linen, repurposed materials, and antique furniture.
Dining Options
The hotel features an open restaurant serving authentic Sri Lankan cuisine prepared with produce from nearby farms and the on-site organic garden. Meals are cooked in the village style on open fires by local cooks. Special meals are available based on an Ayurvedic doctor's recommendations. Herbs and spices are grown in the organic garden. All food prepared is before each meal.
Leisure & Entertainment
The Samadhi Centre offers yoga classes taught by a team of three experienced teachers, including Hatha-Iyengar classes. Maheshe Kodikara offers classes in Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong. Guests can listen to tree frogs. A jewelry and bronze casting workshop provides a chance to observe traditional artisans. The Hulu Ganga river creates spots for river bathing. Available Ayurvedic treatments include full body massage with steam bath, Sarwangadhara, and Shiro tharpana, costing $60 per treatment. Guests can request Kandy city tours, Sigiriya and Dambulla tours, and tours to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and tea plantations.
Location and Transportation
The Kandy Samadhi Centre is 15 km from Polgolla Reservoir Sea Plane and 40 minutes from Kandy city. Nearby landmarks include Rassa Ella (4.5 km) and Hatale Patana World's End (4.5 km).
