Executive Chef Chris Chafe, is known for creating menus that feature a wide variety of tantalizing dishes, made fresh and from scratch, and Barry Bennett, with 30 years in food and beverage, is all over Vu. An assortment of regularly changing desserts ends each meal. The soundtrack is a mix of conversation, laughter and gently upbeat tunes tripping along in the background that will give you a full-on sensory dining experience. Newman's Fine Dining reminds guests of the days of white glove service and tableside cooking.

The Rooms, a provincial art gallery and museum, is located two blocks uphill. George Street, known for its nightlife, is a 5-10 minute walk. Signal Hill National Historic Site and Cabot Tower are 2 km away, and easily accessible for walking tours.
